What kind of characteristics does a good leader must have?
Due to human beings’ sinful desires and spiritual evil and dark forces/powers in the world from ancient time, anyone who does not fear of God and
does not let the Truth of God guide his or her entire life has capability and capacity and possibility to become a dictator,
or a manipulator, or
exploiter, a person who is greedy in money and power to fulfill his or her own sinful desires,
could bring disaster to people and nation(s).
What are good leaders? The good leaders are the leaders who have hearts and actions to humbly and diligently and faithfully serve God and serve people,
to give their lives for God’s Will. Therefore, the
best test stone for a good leader is God’s two greatest Commandments,
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all you mind and with all your strength”, and “Love your
neighbor
as yourself”.
In the Holy Bible, there are many Godly leaders who are the heroes of faith and who are worthy for us to learn from them in the modern time.
Now I am going to share with you what kind of good characters a good leader must have through the lights shining from the Holy Bible, and to
see how the Godly good characters can influence modern time leadership.
Good character 1: Have faith in God and trust in God and love God’s Word
For example: If America leaders have faith in God and fix their eyes in God’s Word, rather than the world influences and dominations, our economic or
political decisions and strategy and legislations will not be manipulated or controlled by so-called stocks indexes, the wall street’s daily waving data or
numbers, as well as Federal Reserve’ s interest rates; our nation will not be putted on ungodly industries’ gambling tables, those numbers or data will
have no power to control our nation’s today and tomorrow. Have anchor of faith in God will lead our nation to the path of true blessing and prosperity.
Good character 2: Have humility, serve people and God with humble heart and servant’s mind
For example: If America leaders have humble hearts to serve God and God’s children, our nation will be able to create a living environment and condition
of love and care, and the U.S. political laws will become as simple as possible and transparent to release heavy burdens and yokes from people.
Good character 3: Have merciful and compassionate heart
For example: If leaders have such virtues, they will diligently seek Loving God’s direction before waging any battles and wars, and try their best to avoid
any unnecessary military actions,
to care and respect solders’ lives and their families, to care and respect the lives in each land,
to care and respect
God’s
creations, to care and respect the nation(s) and land God created,---to care and respect God’s loving heart and our Father’s Will.
Good character 4: Do justly in accordance with God’s Word
For example: If leaders can do justly according to God’s Word, any kind of greed persons or entities will have no power to manipulate government’s
laws to receive unjust and unfair favors; if leaders have spirit of justice, they will
be willing to open their hearts to understand more and more and to care
more and more about people’s living condition and life suffering and needs, they will
be willing to stand in people’s shoes to serve people with servant’s
hearts and to make laws to promote justice.
Good character 5: Have endurance and perseverance to do well and be good
For example: The perseverance can help leaders to do what is right and what is good according to God’s Word when they face attacks of evil and
darkness forces; the perseverance can defend the Truth of God in the circumstances of persecutions and to stand firmly to serve people and God with
sincerely love and kindness; the endurance will strengthen leaders to do well and be good consistently in the midst of political obstacles, pressures and
storms, to pass the tests, to overcome evil’s temptation.
Good character 6: Love peace and appreciate beautiful things given by God to human beings
For example: To see others with peaceful and pure mind will discover beautiful things bestowed by God and be able to appreciate lights shining in the
darkness; to try understand and know and think others in God’s perspective with peaceful minds, politicians will have desires to learn from each other,
and to seek good and praiseworthy things which given by our Father of all Lights; with peaceful minds and hearts, politicians could be able to avoid
unfriendly arguments and brutal attacks toward each other, and to learn what they need to learn to better serve people and God.
Good character 7: Be discipline
For example: The discipline can build up and enhance the virtue of thrifty. In government’s management system, through discipline, our nation will have
breakthrough to walk out from national deficits and overspending and wasting, to establish laws of anti-corruption, to minimize government’s size but
maximize government’s loving and serving functions to people.
Good character 8: Forgiveness
For example: If leaders understand the significant biblical truth that all human beings have sinned and short the glory of God, and God forgives us and
gives us second chance again and again to receive His Salvation through His only begotten Son Jesus Christ, the government’s legislation will apply the
Principle of Forgiveness into political policy to help those who are lost receive real second chance back to upright lives. Without God’s forgiveness
and love and grace, this world cannot stand and survive, and no one have chance to receive the Salvation of Cross of Jesus Christ. Therefore, leaders
should learn from God’s Word, and to embed forgiveness to heart to become Godly merciful servants.
Good character 9: Be boldly against wickedness
For example: Be boldly against wickedness in the world will strengthen leaders to defend the Truth of God and to avoid upside down political policy
and legislations, to refuse the compromise with the sinful world, to refuse setting up laws against Almighty God’s Law, to refuse deceiving power’s
manipulations, to refuse becoming puppet leaders or puppet leadership, to strive becoming leaders who do justly, love mercy and walk humble with God
most high.
Good character 10: Obedience
For example: With obedience attitude, leaders will follow what God’s Word said in the Holy Bible rather than follow the depraved world, leaders
will have inner strength to against all odds to do what is right, and to be the salt on the earth and light of the world to honor and glorify God.
Our beloved Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is the best role model of leaders. From generation to generation, from layman to leader, we all need to learn
from Him and to remember Him. Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, left His throne in heaven, Word became flesh, humbly dwelled in this
tiny world and lived among the people He created. Jesus Christ, the Lord of lords, King of kings, came to forgive us, to heal us, to love us, to serve
us and save us; He sacrificed Himself and shed His Precious Blood on the Cross to pay all human beings’ debts of sins, He resurrected on the third day
by the power of God to give mankind the Grace of Salvation and the Hope of Eternity. Lord Jesus said: “Just as the Son of Man did not come to be
served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many”, how much our leaders need to learn from our Loving Creator and Savior, our God!
Lord Jesus Christ, is the best
role model for all human beings to learn, to follow, to believe, to remember and
to love.
God’s two greatest Commandments are best test stone to leaders to truly see who they are. If leaders keep God’s Word in hearts and lift up these
two commandments in their live, honor it and apply it in their leaderships, there is nothing can block those leaders to receive Godly wisdom and God’s
help and intervention to lead governments
to become more than conquerors to win victorious race in every aspects, to enhance and ensure leaders to
become true and faithful leaders in the sight of God and pleasing God.
Why
without the guidance and foundation of the Truth of
God,
political correctness will become a concept that could
lead U.S. political leadership to wander in the desert and be lost?
Without the guidance and foundation of the Truth of God, politics never be consistently correct, to make laws base on the concept of political
correctness can cause leaders and lawmakers blind to make wrong political policies one after another. If blinds lead blinds,
all will fall into pits or wander
in the parched desert to be totally lost.
What lessons can we learn from ancient tower of Babel in Genesis 11?
From ancient tower of Babel in Genesis 11, firstly, we can see human beings evil ambitions and prides to imitate God, to become God, to against God
and to compare with God. Secondly, we can know that God opposes such evil desires and actions of mankind, and any kind of men made tower
of Babel will be uprooted, tear down, destroyed and overthrow by God’s power. How important it is for nations and earthly kingdoms to learn God’s
Principle and to walk humbly with God and fear of the Lord.
One world order is a modern tower of Babel. God’s Word never changes, never pass away, and never lose Power. From God’s Word, we will
certainly know the future and fate of one world order.
Whom
do people belong to? Men or governments or God?
God created human beings in His image and likeness. In Genesis Chapter one, on the creation’s 6th day, God blessed human beings and said to them
“Be fruitful and increase in number, fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living
creature that moves on the ground”. By love and wisdom, God created mankind for His mission on the earth to manage and take care His creations.
Therefore, all people belong to God and no man has right to own other people’s life. Respecting life and doing everything in justice according to God’s
Word are respecting God. Either people or government are all God’s steward on the earth.
What and Who created slaves in the world?
Human beings sinful desires created slaves in the world.

What is modern slavery of Egypt?
Worldly economic and political system which is
dominated by money and power has created modern slavery system and took away people’s
freedom and true happiness and meaningful life given and planned from God-the Creator of the Universe.
I have hope and dream for America because of Lord Jesus Christ.
Let us meditate the following God’s Word, Lord Jesus said in Matthew 25:34-46 to understand God’s Heart and to love one another as Jesus loved us
and pray for U.S. leaders and our nation.
May God’s Word and His Holy Presence Rekindle the Hope in our hearts.

"Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the
creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you
invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'
"Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see
you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'
"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'
"Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed
clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.'
"They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?'
"He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'
"Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."
