1. James 2:14,26
What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him?
As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.
2. James 3:2,6
We all stumble in many ways. If anyone is never at fault in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to
keep his whole body in check. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body.
It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.
3. James 3:17~18
But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive,
full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of
righteousness.
4. James 4:6,10
But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: "God opposes the proud but gives grace to
the humble." Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.
5. James 4:8
Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts,
you double-minded.
6. James 4:14~15
Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears
for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do
this or that."
7. James 5:7
Be patient, then, brothers, until the Lord's coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its
valuable crop and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains.
